Not really much to say here that hasn’t been said elsewhere but if you are looking to use it for pretty much anything, this is the notebook for you.

It has a perfect balance of specifications vs price. If you are trying to find the best notebook for under 1k this is undoubtedly it!

The laptop is fast. I recommend you put the intel x-25m solid state in the computer as well. I can boot windows 7 in 19 seconds. The thing is a beast. Dont let reviews on the screen throw you off. The screen is beautiful. The keyboard is the best in its class. I love this laptop. I also own an asus p6t deluxe desktop with an 17 975 extreme edition and intel solid state that cost me 2300 bucks to build and this laptop is only 30 percent slower than the beast of a tower I have. I must say you cannot go wrong buying it. Oh yes do not buy from newegg because you will have to pay sales tax if your in california.

Cons : None I wish I bought this before my desktop and I might have never bought the desktop!

Again the laptop is beautiful and I get compliments on it everywhere!

If you’re looking for a Windows-based, i7-chipped system…..then look no further. This bad boy can cut through batch processes like nobody’s business. If you need a laptop to run Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom, this is a great system for that end. The i7 chips are especially set up for that, and the multi-core threading will knock your socks off. It can’t do what my i7-860 desktop can do, but it can do more than my former suped-up Core 2 Duo desktop!

If you’re looking for a simple system for basic internet, email, and word processing, then it’s probably overkill. But if you need a portable workhorse running Windows 7, then look no further!

This is my first ASUS laptop. This laptop is simply excellent when compared to my other XPS laptop. Very good features and excellent performance. Also the weight is not that much ( I expected more weight since it is 16 inch laptop). the display is superb. Great laptop for a decent price. This laptop could be much more better if it has a blue ray drive.
